Does having the indicator light on drain the battery

I guess doing anything can drain the battery - even if only a little. I don't think having the LED indicator on is going to really do any heavy damage on the battery.
Not really...
But, who wants to see a green flashing light? Red is all that matters (I have mail, I have a text, I have voicemail, etc, etc)...
Right on. Ima shut that **** off.

I have my green coverage indicator light shut off as well. The Red Light Rules tho'!!! :D
I wish there was a way to customize the LED indicator...I'd rather have a blue flashing light for new msgs etc. I don't like red XD
There is 3rd party software to do just that.
I believe that the color pearl application can be used on the Curve to change the indicator light colors. However it does NOT change the color of the trackball like it does on the 8100 since the curve doesn't have multi colored LED's under the trackball.
I want a blue message indicator also. But I don't care enough to get the software.

BlackBerry Alerts
I thinks that's what it's called. That can change the colour of your new messages flash.
