Is it my imagination, but does it seem like traffic in here is slowing/ dying down?

Seems like the articles and blogs have been a little quiet lately too.

Oh, we're having some fun debates. But not like what it used to be. Have to expect it with such a decline in users.

Ya why would he try something to potentially save the handset division (700k devices sold last quarter) at the expense of CB traffic? What a jerk

There are always peaks and valleys in here, always have been. If Blackberry releases another device or has some type of major news it will pick up.

BlackBerry just released the PRIV a little while ago. Doesn't seem like Android can even pull the handset division out of the fire at this point.

We'll know soon enough. It's still being rolled out in some regions, and there's the supposed Vienna that is going to add on to their hardware division so it might gain steam.

Giving AT&T such a huge exclusivity window worked against the success of the Priv. Possibly hindering the chance of motivating the handset division.

Don't get me wrong. I just moved from a Z10 to a Z30. I handed my Z10 down to my daughter, so I'm doing my part.

It just seems that things are really quiet on CrackBerry lately everywhere you look.

I completely agree, I've not seen as half as much activity around here as I did back when BB10's future was optimistic.

I am sure the CrackBerry crew has been trying, but BlackBerry sure isn't giving them much positive news to write about lately. I am hoping that a core group of die-hards will stay active on the forum and that something positive will happen soon to generate more enthusiasm.

Problem is few new BB10 apps launching, no BB10 phones launching, nothing BB10 OS wise to look forward to other than some security patches in the next year and the "no leaks" lid has been put on so tight, that even the non-BB10 phone leaks are few and far between.
The tone has changed to abandonment around here and people are naturally tuning out.
I used to be on the site more than once an hour (yes I was addicted) , now I cruise by maybe once or twice a day and re-affirm that nothing is happening other that promotions from US mobile companies or a Z10 case on sale from shopcrackberry!

Liking the new Samsung s7 edge + even though I bash them for copying everything that Apple comes out with lol.

Look ar n4bb daily page views over the last year.

It was low, and it sunk after they dropped their focus on BlackBerry. Crackberry knows it's fate.

There's no " selling " of Crackberry anymore. Without official corporate news there is nothing worth talking about or putting on the front page it seems. Feature reminders and how BlackBerry10 shines would be great but still.....nothing. Team Crackberry should start posting up more BB10 articles about anything. It would make our checks here better.

PKBs is clearly not the answer. It only appeals to a minority of users. If I had a dime for everyone who has been asking for an all touch device including myself, I would be a millionaire. All touch is where it's at, yet BlackBerry's Hail Mary has a slide out PKB. As I have said in previous posts, "The 90's called and want their phone back."

The Priv is a hybrid device in that it can be used as an all touch, you don't have to slide it open that's why they gave you the VKB as well. Would I like an upgrade to the Z30 be it running Android? Sure why not. That said entering a saturated android slab market with another slab wasn't going to turn any heads for BlackBerry. At least with the Priv they have some differentiation from the pack.

The drop off in traffic is noticeable, but without any device news it is understandable. I am hoping, against my better judgement, for handset news out of Barcelona this week. But realistically, I am waiting for news of the Passport & Classic fire sale in a couple months, reminiscent of the Playbook liquidation years ago.

I agree with you. I thought the fire sale would have been on black Friday though. But it's looking like it will be sometime soon.
