Interesting that somehow TCL is managing to generate buzz about it’s phone lineup in a very crowded space. It definitely will generate more interest and help TCL brand than licensing BlackBerry seemed to do.

There is one massive big problem with America and Chinese phones. Donald Trump is about ready to sign another executive Order concerning Chinese manufactured mobile phones.
Google G-Suite and Microsoft Office 365 and variants will not be allowed onto Chinese phones in future.
The phones will at least have to be made in the 15 eyes countries, it may extend out to the 19 eyes.

The most secure companies will prefer those phones made in the five eyes countries. United Kingdom of Great Britain will remain the favourite country for the Commonwealth of Nations and pretty much for Europe, then it was down to Five eyes countries for the USA and Nato Security Elite.
Most countries don't want the phones made in the United States for security reasons.

    Buzz doesn't equal sales necessarily.

I have had a hunch that the trade issue and security issues have had something to do with the vagaries concerning TCL and BlackBerry (besides the other well hashed out issues discussed here at length).

But as for the 15 eyes and 19 eyes countries: is there a list of these?

The buzz I’m referring to is simply publicity. The device is a mock-up at this point. I’m not sure the device would have any commercial success. It’s the fact that it frames the company more cutting edge and innovative rather than stale and old fashioned.

Hey maybe this is the KEY3- 3screens,3keys....maybe it triple boots to bb10, bbos and . (android as a last resort for the gamies and butterflies(social)). Maybe android is an optional add-on for $$$. Hmm how would the slider work in this implementation though? or does the 1st screen get the keyboard? I dunno a dual-boot (bb10/android) passport dimensions device with classic like capacitive touch slider keyboard would be much better.....".the Pass-Key".
