No matter how much I try to pay attention, locking my Bold is so unintuitive. How can I keep from **** dialing? Surely there's a way to make a simple password for phone calls, or something of the sort. Whenever my phone is unlocked and placed in my pockets, without exception, it presses the call button twice and calls the last person I talked to.

you can password lock your phone. but the only drawback is you will start pocket dialing "Emergency Call" by accident. i find by using the standard keypad lock, i NEVER pocket dial.

read your owners manual btw on how to set up a password.

I use a password lock, and I also press the mute key to put the phone into sleep mode. Very hard to pocket dial that way.

Excellent advice and I don't know why more people don't follow it.

I use Ultimate Lock (highly configurable) and standby. Phone can't do
anything unless I unlock it or one of the events I set occurs.

A bb holster (one with a magnet) works well too.

Phone Options --> General Options --> set "Dial From Home Screen" to No.

Very good for preventing accidental "pocket" dialing (as are the suggestions already made).

That will not prevent pocket dialing when the password lock in engaged.
