Had a Z10 but couldn't help myself when I had a chance to get a Q10. Love the phone, love the keyboard and love typing on it. In fact I'm only doing this so I have a reason to type on this phone! But my question is does everybody love the Q10 or should I have just stayed with the Z10? Or maybe just went and got a Z30?

Some with the Q10, like me, have had issues with double-typing. Search the forums and you'll see.

Still, it's a phone in a league of its own. Don't know what I'll do at upgrade time.

I just got a Q10 after having an Iphone 5. So far I love the phone. I'm still getting used to BlackBerry 10. The keyboard is fantastic and I'm enjoying the functionality of the phone. I hope you have a great experience with yours.

Congrats, you will get stuff done.
    Fast and efficiently.

Hope they resolve the lack of working apps for the 1:1 screen ratio soon.

I recently just got a Q10 as well. My Lumia 928 is my main phone while I used my Z10 as my secondary (got the Q10 to replace it). First off, hated the Z10 battery life. It was unacceptable. The Q10's is much better! It's in line with my Lumia 928 which I'm pleased with. I also like the keyboard more than I thought I would. I am not a keyboard guy, but I do enjoy it. I don't think I could use it as my primary device though because I like screen real estate, and plus I can type faster on a touchscreen. The things I disliked about the Z10 were the camera, speakers, and battery life. I knew the battery life would be improved, and I knew the camera wouldn't be. I'm a little disappointed that the speakers aren't any better, but that's not a big issue. It really is a great device though. Very premium feeling. I absolutely love the build and design.

Live my Q10 (work device) excellent phone absolutely no complaints. Well maybe one the no group email. However my Z30 is the best ever.

Just keep your nails short for the Q10 keyboard. It can be an issue for some, but I keep mine as short as possible regardless, so it is not a big deal.

I chose the Q10 over the Z10 for the physical keyboard (duh!) and the longer battery life.

The physical keyboard is really nice for typing on the go.

I currently have a z30 and I recently picked up a used Q10 for T Mobile and I find myself liking the device. Great forum factor and excellent build quality have me thinking about making the Q10 my daily driver.

I know the z30 is a lovely device but the Q10 feels great in my hand and fits perfectly in my pocket and I am getting used to the physical keyboard again, It seems strange but very true that the Q10 does grow on you.

I am still buying a factory unlocked passport as soon as one is released. The only issue with the Q10 is the 1:1 screen issue on a couple of apps but hopefully they will resolve it in the future.

What you asked was a matter of preference. Only you will know what is best for you. No one here can tell you if you should have picked this phone or that phone. Only you know.

Personally, I have the Z30 and Q10. Q is great as a daily driver. Z is my home at night media phone. I love them both.Z10 is a very good phone as I had that also but I could not ignore the upgraded specs of the 30.

I have a Z10 and had bought three Q10s and subsequently sold them. I did love the Q10s but realized that the Z10 works best for me. I love the LCD display vs the Amoled. I take a lot of photos and like to use the StoryMaker app and it is easier to use on the Z10 due to screen size. I don't have battery life issues. We actually have two Z10s in our household and battery life lasts about 10-12 hours. We have battery bundles so not an issue with swapping.

Having said that, the Q10 is a great device. The keyboard is so smooth and easy to type on. Fits in the palm of my hand and pockets really well. Battery life is great. I love and miss all of the Q10 shortcuts. Speaker much better than my Z10. It was hard deciding to sell my last one but I do have my eye out on the Classic.

    Enjoy ur device!

I use my thumbnails to type on my Q10. If they are too short it's harder for me to type. Of course, I don't know how long you are referring too! I love typing on this thing and find I can type better than on my laptop. (though I am not very fast on either :-)).

I got my special edition q10 a few months back and I love it ,typing on it feels right, even though I only take it out on occasion, but still a great device. But my z10 is my work horse until either the passport or the next full touch

I had a Z10 also and loved it. Picked up a Q10 and never looked back. This is the form factor for me. Great communication device. You are not always fighting autocorrect to type what you actually want to type also. That part is nice.

Happy for the op. You should be able to tell if you are content with your purchase. All BB10 phones have their pros and cons.
Given that you got yourself a q10, I'm thinking you enjoy typing on it and using it as a communications tool.
