I just ordered a Jabra BT8040 and it's great for streaming music/podcasts, but the call quality is very digital and muffled. I sound fine to the recipient, but they sound pretty bad to me.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I'm assuming it's something with the BB software b/c the music plays perfectly.

I'm running the irtehun v4.2 hybrid for the Tour.

Comments? Suggestions?

Also, i've upgraded the earpiece to the latest software Jabra provides on their site.

I don't have a tour so I don't know if it makes a difference, but I do have a curve, the 8040, and the 530. The 530 is much better in my opinion. I too have had trouble with conversations on the 8040 but almost never with the 530. The 530 is also much louder when listening to slacker. The volume of the 8040 is way to low for me, but I work in a loud enviroment.

Thanks for the input. I'm going to return the 8040 and maybe go with a plantronics 925 or a jabra 530. I'll let you know how it goes. thanks again!
