We don't know how much ram the 4S has. I does have a higher res screen though and a better camera and video camera. It also has dual core CPU, a huge app catalog and a glass screen.
The 9850/60 also runs BB OS which an OS best suited to messaging. I am not sure why someone would want a messaging phone without a keyboard.
Nothing personal, but any serious contractor who uses the iPhone as a level should have their license taken away. Maybe to hang a picture but beyond that...
iFail S......
Why is it a fail or an iFail? It works. You'd be surprised how many people use their iPhones for stuff you'd consider an "iFail" in your words.

9900/9930 cant compete with 4S, iOS5 itself will handle BB7 single handed, not to mention the ****ty build quality of blackberry. i was thinking to switch back from my andriod to 9900, but after hearing my friends talking about how many 9900s they went through, i decided to stay where i am. cant believe rim still didnt get their QC together, maybe that is the reason why their playbook sale is so ****, because half of them had build quality issues and everybody is returning
Not everybody is returning them. Not all build quality is ****. Don't think single-mindedly, if you like your smartphone, don't bash other smartphones. Not all assembly plants work the same way based on quality.

Is he still in construction? He should be fired. Tell your friend to buy a Stabila level(or a few, the 2',4',6'). You can't properly level or plumb surfaces with something that's only a few inches long. That's ridiculous. Probably uses a finishing hammer to frame with.
Edit: well maybe not as far as fired but seriously needs a good smack.

A game developer that makes games for the iPhone is quoted saying that the i4s has 512mb RAM.

That same game developer calls it a powerful computer.

I'm getting itchy fingers again....
I got the Atrix when I'd been waiting for the iPhone 5. Gave the Atrix to a family member and although there is no iP5 I'm jonesing for the iP4S.
But I'm also getting the 9900. And I have loved ones across the pond and we use BBM A LOT. So....although I want it, I probably will get the 9900 and call it a day.
BBM is a HUGE DEAL for me.
Either one is a nice choice.
depends what u using it for
bbm bis etc still does it for me
but imessage on the iphone 4s n ios 5?
Well, I'm doing it!!! I had an extra line sittin' there with an air card I wasn't even using, converted that to a phone with data, and I'm going to be GETTING AN IPHONE 4S!!!!!!
Keeping ALL my BBerries, of course.
I HAD intended to get the iP5 when I had a certain indiscretion with an Android.
What I learned from my bitter breakup with my iPhone 3GS was that it was a completely different animal from a BB. So I'm managing my expectations.
So....one side of me will continue to love my BB and the other side of me will hope to love the iP4S.
The iPhone 4S might as well been the iPhone 5 Qbn... If it had the iPhone 5 label the media wouldn't have made a big deal besides no redesign. Only spec fanboys would have hated on it due to not having 100 cores and 4000MB of RAM. Android is only like this because the manufacturers need to compete against each other, the iPhone is in a league of its own.
I hope you enjoy the device. The iPhone 4 has been great to me since I got it (much better tan the 3G and 3GS) and have no regrets. I hope the 4S treats you at least half as well as the iPhone 4 has treated me.
You get the best of both worlds as well which is nice. If you ever need any help, let me know. I'd be glad to help. :)
Thank you! I'm not that concerned about the label or name...I just meant I had been waiting for the next iPhone when I went to the Atrix, on impulse.
I still don't like the locked battery on the device and I still feel that the BB is much more secure. That said, I've been lusting for quite a long time. So....only one thing to do....give it another go.
Thank you for the offer of help! I will take you up on it!
Yea the non-removable battery is one of the biggest complaints, and you are right, security is not as good as BBs. My password protector app has AES 256 encryption though. :D
Good luck. ;):)
The iPhone isn't right for everybody. Who cares if it's superior/inferior to other smart/Phones, it's one's choice as to which they'll want to buy/choose.

Well, BBM and a keyboard are important enough to me to not give up my Torch. To those of us who value instant communication without getting taken to the cleaners for data charges, BBM is a big deal.
As far as keyboard, I don't like a virtual keyboard. It will be one of the reasons my iPhone will be on my spare line and not my main. As to which one I'd give up first, I'm sure it would be the iPhone, once I have it.
I simply don't want to be without my BB.
Edit: Yah, I know we had an outage today. First one in a very, very long time.
Is it just data? like an iphone with a data plan without voice plan?
Im looking to do something like data only with the iphone 4s or the galaxy s2, but im not sure how would i do it with the data plan only, like a tablet data plan or mobile broadband? and some non-conventional way to activate it, i know the problem will be the iphone. I just need the extra device with only data, certain applications and mobile wifi hotspot, but carriers just suck at flexibility.
Oh, no....I'm sorry. Maybe I didn't fully explain myself. It's not data only. That line had been where I'd originally had my iPhone 3GS and I later had my Atrix. After letting go of my Atrix I turned it into an air card and gave it to my husband. Now that we're separating I turned the air card into my iPhone 4S line, data and voice. I increased my minutes, put the iPhone 4S on and ended up paying less than I'd started out with.
So, I'm a Blackberry user of many years, keeping and still using my BB, and trying out the iPhone 4S....like I tried the Atrix and the iP3GS before. Those experiments didn't go well. Let's see how this one goes.
