Better battery is how to define the? The more long battery life? The more effectively use the battery.hotbatterycharger.co.uk.
What the crap are you even trying to say? Can a mod please delete that spam ****?

I've always read about the legendary 9000 speakers on CB forums but never actually got to hear them, but the 9780 has pretty impressive speakers too in my opinion.

The 9000 speakers really were amazing. Loud and clear. There was lots to love about that device.

That was a device I always loved seeing. I never owned one, but it was a **** of a device for its time. It's too bad that the 9900 is lacking in some of those areas that the 9000 was superior at.

    So does the iPhone 4S.

14Mbps HSPA+ is fauxG (the iPhone 4S max download speed).
Very true indeed. I think I'm just assuming the 4S is just holding strong to "regular" 3G, but I'm not entirely sure. Can't really gauge it without the H+ lol

You should be getting that H+ symbol soon enough.

AT&T and T-Mobile have led the charge over the past year to brand their upgraded HSPA+ networks as 4G, even though such networks historically dont fall into the 4G definition and considering that AT&T is in the process of rolling out LTE concurrently, it can be a confusing message for customers to hear. That said, theres no sign of AT&Ts network branding effort slowing down, but heres a bit of a shocker: the carrier is apparently working with Apple to change the indicator in the iPhone 4S (which tops out at 14.4Mbps, up from the iPhone 4′s 7.2Mbps) to show 4G in the status bar as well. Thats surprising considering Apples general reluctance over the past four years to bow to carrier pressure on well, pretty much anything and whats more, the indicator will require an iOS update to enable.

Weve reached out to AT&T for comment; more on this as we get it.

Update: AT&T confirms that the companies are indeed working together on it, emphasizing that customers will get 4G speeds from day one regardless.

    I really hope they don't.

Then people are going to jump on the "HSPA+ IS NOT 4G. ONLY LTE IS 4G. APPLE IS STUPID. LTE IS FASTER. MY ANDROID PHONE HAS LTE AND ITS WAY BETTER (with 1 hour of battery life)"

They specifically avoided calling it 4G during the keynote just to get away from that debate about what true 4G is.

Daily? How about every other hour?

It has been a while, and I suspect things are better now, but battery pulls were the bane of my BlackBerry existence. That pretty much was the main catalyst to moving.

I got so good at it that I could pull the battery with one hand. Having my phone freeze was not fun.
come on it's not that worse.

With my 9000 I had to pull the battery every 1 or 2 days as I installed OS5 and had just not enough memory. 9000 has a very good and loud speaker by the way. The 9900 I own now is good/ok but not as loud on max volume. Still good enough for most task and louder than the phones I can compare with

9900 I had over 200 hours (alt **** h) with out a pull but the RAM and application memory were affected so I had to pull (or just press the one button a lot longer ) to fix that. At the moment I do reboot the 9900 every 2 or 3 days but more because of I do install new apps which want a reboot (or because I re setup the rights of the apps ).

To the thread creater - you should at least explaine a little bit more about the battery.

How do you compare this? Without it you info "4S is better than BB" is not much usefull.

I know the 9900 battery is not big/much mAh. Only 1230mAh on a more powerfull device incl. high res display (640x480 on 2,8" is high res ;P) and touch screen and 1,2ghz cpu + GPU... I would have wished it still had at least the old 15xx capacity as this would have been the backup juice to get definitly through my day

The 4S has a 1900 mAh battery build in, at least I read this somewhere a while ago (sorry with all this Apple news everywhere I lost tracking )

I'm not a fanboy of any device.

But my needs for a device are a physical keyboard as I am writing a lot of emails and IM and I do not like to big devices -> sliders like Milestone/Droid.

As a good writing experience is one of the most important criterias for me - at the moment the 9900 is a good device for me.

Iphone will probably never get a physical keyboard so at the moment these devices are not an option for me.

Devices like the androids moto pro + or droid pro+ (is it also called "+"?) are not available here at the moment but could be an option. A cheaper one and the main issue of the OS7 (or every BB) - poor quantity of apps but high prices. Bad compination.

Now I have to defend apple (did I really wrote that? ^^)

This ideas comming from the carrier in US

Which LTS do you have? 3.9 probably as I'm not aware the real LTE-A / 4G is already "out there".

below the white paper info - there is the info I think is very interesting

The battery life on the 4s is far better than on the 9930. The speaker is louder and clearer.

These are two areas I didn't think anyone but RIM took seriously, and they justified other shortcomings. That is not the case anymore.
