My brother was just allowed by AT&T to use Media Net on his BB Curve instead of the full data plan. For some reason, they let him do that since he had the device and AT&T service long before the required data plan rule went into effect. (I know...they're not supposed to do that, but the lady on the phone definitely said they would in this case.)

Problem is, I can't find the "Internet Browser", only the AT&T MediaNet browser. I'm assuming that's because he doesn't actually have BIS and therefore can't/won't get the *full* browser (maybe it has to be pushed)? Is this assumption correct? Or is there another way to get the regular internet icon on his device?

(Note: I was told by an AT&T rep a few weeks ago on my son's feature phone that the $10 unlimited data plan for his device does include the "full" internet, as long as he can access it with that device's browser.)

You won't get the Internet Browser without a BlackBerry Data Plan.
