Hi,
I am pretty new at this and was really dishearten when I saw that BlackBerry requires a separate plan for the internet to work .

In my old phone I would use the internet once in a while just to check mails when I am traveling.

Is there any way or any third party software which can connect me to the internet without any charge?

So is it possible?

you must have a bbry plan to access, thats the way they did it ,unless you have a berry with wifi then you can use thruogh the wifi, but over air no.

Well I'm unsure of what blackberry you have.

You put AT&T and then 8830. If you have AT&T, you can get medianet and check your mail that way. If you have a cmda carrier, I believe you need the data plan for internet.

I didn't think AT&T would hae the 8830. Does the 8820 come with WiFi?

IMO, if you want a bb, get a unlimited data package and crack till your heart is content...
