Does any current Blackberry have more device memory than 64mb?

    Thanks

The new CDMA 8330 I think has 84mb of device memory if I remember the specs right.

That's what they are saying, just gotta wait and see.
BTW... 20mb can accommodate a lot more Apps.

It's weird but it says two different things sorta

Under Features it says 64MB of built-in memory

Under Specifications for Memory it says 96MB of flash memory

You're right. I wonder if it's a typo. Like they just copied the feature list from the other 8300 series and pasted it, forgetting to change that one thing.

That would be my guess simple using the general page and not checking to make sure it's accurate to the specs...since the rumors were more memory for the 8330 it's probably safe to assume the 96MB is correct.

Even though I just got the Pearl a few months back I may have to take a look at the Curve when Alltel begins carrying it.

I didn't want to say it can't be done... All it is, is a memory chip on the circuit board. Technically you probably could, with a lot of effort, remove it and sodder a bigger chip in place.

I emailed RIM a couple days ago regarding this issue. Here is their response.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting BlackBerry Customer Support. We are pleased to assist you.

I am following up on the case id RQST00004874022, wherein you inquire about the built-in memory and the flash memory of the BlackBerry Curve 8330.

By design, the BlackBerry Curve 8330 comes with a 64MB of built-in memory. As for the 96MB of flash memory it is a typographical error on our Website. I will revert back to our development team to correct the issue.

Please refer to the link below for the more accurate info.

So unfortunately, it sounds like the 8330 doesn't have more memory.

I am now wondering if it was a typo when they say it will accommodate the 8 gig card also?

No typo there. The rumors I have heard say the 8330 will come with OS v4.3, which will support cards up to 8gb.

No one knows until RIM releases it. Everyone is saying something different.

Some even said the Pearl's will not get the 4.3 upgrade, yet the new pearls have them.

RIM, please shed some light by releasing everything including the 9000!
