I never understood why BlackBerry stopped marketing the phones after the Z10 flopped.
How can you sell something if you don't advertise it?
They did promote BB10 devices. Nobody gave a toss so they slashed the marketing budget.

You believe there's a scenario where BB10 could have been successful in today's market?

I think the case could be made that BBRY stuck with BB10 too long.
Like HP and webOS, BlackBerry had no sense of the jewel in hand.

They did not polish or promote the gem that is BlackBerry 10.

There are infinite numbers of ways BB10 could have been promoted BB10 including visiting CEO's with BlackBerry 10 devices and demos in hand face-to-face and gifting the device to them. And, when the CEO's inquired about a specific app, BlackBerry simply needed to make that app happen in BlackBerry 10.

After BlackBerry fumbled the ball-that is smart phones, it was and is going to take very aggressive moves to get the ball back.

Instead, they have chosen to promote Priv which is dressed in costume jewelry-Android-that is the opium of the masses.

Louks must have hoped nobody would come up with the curved edge glass which would be revolutionary and innovative. And Bang Samsung brings it to its S6 device. Taking all the glory away from BlackBerry.

I'm not sure about other areas, but I saw some promo of the Z10 and that was it. Q10 barely existed, Z30 was invisible and to this day I have never seen a working passport or Leap. The local Walmart had a display of Z10 and Q10 devices for at least 1 year that literally never worked. Now it is all Samsung.

With all the hype over privacy you would think they could captalize on that.

It's almost time to stop asking why the BlackBerry Platform is not successful and look at the success The Powers That Be are having not supporting the platform.
BB10's lack of support among "The Powers That Be" is a symptom of its failure and not the other way around. Investors, C-suite, etc. were wildly in support of BB10 prior to its launch indicated by the rally in its stock value.

BBRY is in the business of making money and there are just so many chances you can give a product. (For many products, that number is only one.)
