Even if BlackBerry closed up shop tomorrow your phone will not be a "brick." Your carrier will still provide service and most of your apps will still work. Buy the phone if you like it.

Your only condition for buying a z30 should be if its out-of-the box capabilities will suit your needs for whatever period of time you plan to keep it.
