Hey guys, I'm considering leaving the BB temporarily and getting a normal phone. I'm going to not be using internet or downloading apps and games. If you were to downgrade to a normal-person phone, what would you go to?

A Sony K790a, what a great phone that was. I was also very fond of my Nokia N95-3 and Nokia 8800 Sirocco. The Razr2 V9 is a great phone, it has none of the sluggishness that kills all other Moto phones. I also have a v60g and a Nokia 8890 as old school back up phones.

So what are you doing with your Curve? It doesn't make sense to me to go buy another phone when you already have a perfectly good one. Why not just not use the internet?

Before my bb I had an LG venus, its girlie but it was a great phone..the camera was the best feature! But I also agree with the poster who mentioned the LG Dare or Voyager.

my son has a sony walkman phone thingy, i'm not sure the model exacatly but its a slider phone, really neat. my daughter just got a red shine yesterday. if i didnt have a berry, i would def go with one of those new sliders. i like the form factor on those a lot.

And just my opinion, all BBs are "normal person" phones and
going to anything else is not a downgrade.

If not a berry, I would recommend a LG. In my experience they are high quality devices and I know AT&T has a good variety of LGs to choose from.

Curves aren't flashy to me. I stuck a black skin on it and it isn't all elitist snob looking,,, why bother getting a diff phone, if ppl see you with a storm they'll think just the same as if you had a different flashy phone.

yeah I wouldn't buy a new phone if I'm just gonna drop money on another BB in a few months...

But I guess if I HAD to give up my BB I'd go with a phone that has a full QWERTY keyboard just cause I can't stand T9. An LG Reveal or Samsung Cleo- both girly phones but with the flip qwerty form factor.
