If you're going cut costs for the hardware division then the logical thing to do would be to retire BB10 itself because that's where most of the fixed costs are - maintaining a mobile OS against Android, Windows, and iOS. Maintaining two operating systems is ridiculous when you are shipping less than 3 million handsets per year worldwide.

im fairly sure the only thing MAYBE being produced is the passport but i have my doubts on that even. I think Priv is the only thing they are making right now

Yes Chen said that because of the outdated components they use he couldn't continue manufacturing of the Classic.

None. BB10 not worth the costs. Go all in on Android and market it.

Zero phones and I mean no BB10 or Android. If they cut hardware it will be to focus on the other hardware boxes they're making for the logistic companies etc

If Blackberry decides to get out of the hardware business what happens to all those who own classics etc..? I have been a long term loyal user of Blackberry. Would another company purchase the hardware side ?

Doubtful. Frankly BB10 couldn't have done any worse than the Priv has.

Going all in would mean no headcount reductions for the BB10 team and possibly increased headcount.
Therefore a monstrous burn rate for RnD.
Plus a marketing burn of ~$300M per year just to match your competition.
You wouldn't have gotten that $1,000,000,000.00 from Prem.
You would still have no apps and therefore you would never sell anywhere close to the number of devices per year that would be required to offset the awesome expense of going all in.
If somehow you could keep the shareholders from terminating you with extreme prejudice, share price would tank.

If somehow you did make a big enough splash to wake up the big boys.
They could and would outspend you massively on every line item.

BlackBerry would be dead and the bones would be picked clean.

Why would any company want to purchase something that's bleeding money?
