What phone would you have and why?
Prob a Nokia
My initial thought was "whatever phone has the next best keyboard". But honestly if I had to settle for anything less than a BB keyboard, I might as well skip the compromise and get a full touchscreen.
In that case, being on ATT, I'd probably get the Samsung Infuse or the Galaxy S2 if it was out. No major reason why, I've just always had good experiences with Samsung products.
probably an Android device hopefully one with a keyboard.

Moto RAZR! Not just old school, "Little House on the Prairie" school.
iPhone so I could play Angry Birds. :)
If you had asked me a couple months ago I'd probably say something Android, but I think if it came down to it I'd get the iPhone. More refined, buttoned down. Don't really have to worry about the malware that pops on Android occasionally... Battery life, stuff like that.
Well if Blackberry didn't exist, perhaps webOS would have gotten the support it deserves and I would have a shiny new all touch webOS phone.
webOS is still my favorite OS.
Putting carrier issues aside, I'd probably get a Droid Pro. It seems to be the closest thing to a Blackberry.
Great question...probably a droid. I have an iPad and while I like it I don't think I'd like it (meaning iPhone) as my primary communication device.

iPhone. Why? I have a macook and I really love it. I used to hate apple products like crazy but I was forced to get one for school and honestly I don't know how I ever used a windows machine.
In any event the UI is refined and iMessage is on point. I would just hope that they started doing the whole data compression thing. Then it would be a no brainer.
Hard but GOOD question. I think I would have gone with the iphone, lots and lots of accessories not to mention all the different apps ect. Lets face it the iphone has HUGE potential
Iphone

Hmmmmm...interesting question...I'd have to go BACK to hunting for a keyboard AGAIN

I will mostly likely have an iphone... I don't care to much for the android OS..

Before I started using BBs, I had WinMo 5 & 6 devices. I would probably be using a Mot DroidX though if BB was not available.
Without my 9930 I'd definitely pick an Iphone .. i have an Itouch and its not bad i sometimes use it for social networking and texting.. big screen fast browsing and more apps than android so yeah
Probably some kind of flip phone. I hate all touch screens and if the pearl flip ever got updated I would buy one.

Iphone, use to have Samsung BlackJack's and didn't like them too much. Took a Bold 9000 to make me realize how much all other phones sucked. I really think BlackBerry is the best, a lot of people will return as soon as they find out how good the new devices are. I have multiple people I know that went to Droids and want to switch back. Tired of recharging 5 times to get through a day.

After the sadness and depression of no more BlackBerry, I would likely get an iPhone. The iPhone has a stable, reliable OS that's user friendly, but it would mean giving up the keyboard. I really don't like either Android OS or WP7 OS.
With the new Bold selling well, and the promise of QNX, it looks like BB will be around a while longer.

I have already upgraded to a Droid Bionic.
Honestly, if the 9930 had a 3.2 in screen and LTE and 1GB of ram I would have stayed with BB. I'm sick and tired of slight incremental hardware upgrades and being expected to shell out $200+ each year. I loved the 9650 for a couple months then it started slowing down. In my area, lack of a usable web browser (slow 3G) ruins the internet.
Windows Phone.
NO idea which one, I hate hate hate the way iPhone does this, and don't want an iTunes account, I loved my Windows phones before I got BlackBerry, I probably never would have left them.
Android just is odd, I can't explain it, but I feel like I am fighting with the phone to get what I want done the fastest, it isn't fluid
Definately iphone, why? Because it syncs with itunes almost as good as my blackberry does!
