Whatsapp is no where near bbm. If they can get them to switch easily, bbm should be the standard for messaging. The features are so amazing but I have no one to talk to...Kik is for teens.

I have a lot of BBM contacts that I would never think of asking them for their phone numbers. If WA didn't operate on phone numbers, I'd be using it too.

BBM might be better on a Blackberry but its no where near as good as WhatsApp on other platforms compared to BBM on other platforms.

It is so annoying to message friends using BBM on iPhones as they do not seem to know they got a message until even days later when they check. I guess we just take the red light blinking for granted. When I suggest we switch, from BBM to another messenger of their choice, they apologize that they " are not very good at BBM yet" and insist on continuing as if it is their fault ( or maybe they find it a challenge or actually like it-- the timed messages and retracting messages seem particularly interesting to them). But there is nothing sweeter than comunication between BB10s on BBM !
