Hmm. I got my BB because I have a thing for email. I prefer to email or text someone. I dislike being on the phone if there's really no need to be on it. As well as having the internet in hand. I have a computer but I'm rarely home . . . and I was always on the interwebs on my old Chocolate which wasn't so GREAT. &I've always liked the BB look. (It's one of the reasons I don't digg a Storm that much) But I think I would. Hmm, now you got me thinking. Lol. Nah, I still would because the BB keeps my life organized with the Calendar. I like having things planned out lol I have an actual planner as well though. But I don't always have that with me so the calendar comes in hand! A LOT! But there's so much things a BB can do besides the email. And BBM Lol.
Hey CG - well i enjoy having my bb cuz i have access to the web when ever/where ever needed, load in my ebooks to read, news and weather at my finger tips, password keeper, calendar keeps me organized, notepad! no more written food list!! auto on/off(never have to turn on/shut off bb), of course for the email/wallpapers/ringtones from CB! (thanks cb!), the address book holds more info than a 'regular' cell phone, and Poynt. On occassion il change my theme.
thats it in a nut-shell
would i still have one with out email.....not sure-id have to think really hard, and well, i dont want to start a fire with the smoke comin outta my ears!!!
I initially got my first BlackBerry because of the qwerty keyboard for texting. My horizons weren't broadened until after I took the plunge and got the data plan. Even now, though, I use it more for web than anything else, and it wouldn't upset me if it didn't have push email.

Seems like every company i've worked for has issued me a Blackberry. Honestly, I hated my first few Blackberries because I felt they made me too accessible. Eventually, I started appreciating the easy access to my email and the ability to BBM peers at work.
The Storm is my first personal Blackberry and even though it has it's share of issues, I really enjoy the things it can do. I used to take my laptop EVERYWHERE. It stays at home most of the time now since the Storm. To answer the OP, push email is a very big reason for me going with Blackberry......
I have to say...no. I never would have purchased my BB but for it's ability to push e-mail. Now that I have come to CB, I now see that I can use the BB for much more, but I do not think that I could justify the cost without the push e-mail.
In a word, no. I love it for it's many other features, but that is the one feature that I love most about it and the reason I was drawn to getting one in the first place (that and having used my wife's I was impressed with all it's other features). It is a great phone but it's email capabilities it's one of it's strongest selling points IMO.
I got my BlackBerry for all the million other things it can do. It literally has become my life organizer... e-mail is currently a minor concern for me. I use the browser, IM, SMS, MMS, the phone, To Do, Calendar, Maps, alarms, and almost anything I can do on it I have incorporated it into my daily life

I have found my twin. Aside from the fact that I'm a pastey white male of course..
I wouldn't leave bb, but this is definitely why I stay without a thought. I LOVE the ability, and use it excessively. I mean the blackberry has a lot of other greater features too, but the push email is big for me
When I bought it I had no idea what push email was. I messed with a few in the store and chose the BB because I liked the look the best out of the couple I had it narrowed down to. Came home jumped on google - read a few reviews - found crackberry and the rest is history. It was a good fit for me after reading reviews and playing with it a bit in the store.
The e-mail was never a main issue for me purchasing my Curve. I loved the form factor and as others have mentioned, having the internet on the go (and while just laying in bed) was a huge plus. But I was still interested in my multimedia. Taking pictures/videos and having my music on the go was a big deal for me. Everything else fell into place when I used the phone more

Push is a big part of it, though. I'm spoiled now. I'm used to getting my emails, seconds after they're sent. Not sure if I'd wanna go back to "Did you send it yet????"
