is there a way to remove an icon from main screen so that it is not there even in the hide icon file but i want to go to it when i need it later

Just hide it and then "Show All" when you need it

Or if you have OS 4.5 Beta then you can drag it into DocumentsToGo folder. That's about it though

Or, just set up a folder, toss your icon in the folder, then hide the folder! (You could do this in infinite progression; put an icon in a folder in a folder in a folder in a folder, and at the end, hide it.)
