Today morning i was going through theverge.com and i was so surprised and lightened up by this new app called paper from Facebook , now as bb10 can run Android apps i just want to get this one on my blackberry

It's not available until early February I think, once it's out, I'm sure people will be trying to sideload it to see it if works.

Looks like a cool app. I'm willing to bet that this will be an iOS exclusive for a few months.

The term is still correct I think. You're loading an application from a source other than an officially supported App Store (Bb world). You're not tethering to another device to do it anymore though.

Sorry but according to the article it will only be available for the iPhone in the US on February 3, 2014. No mention about any further releases for devices or regions. And yes, iPhone only, not even iOS.

I believe you are correct, but for simplicity's sake, shouldn't we say reserve the term for converted bars?
When I hear sideload I think if that what's it called? Oh ya, computer.

I wish BlackBerry would implement more applications like Paper.

TAT definitely has the knowledge to do stuff like it but since BlackBerry acquired them, all their creative potential was locked behind a Corporate style. Only lists, grids, blacks and whites. So damn boring and repetitive. Just check out their videos of all their cool prototypes from some years ago.

Only a few apps have some creative and outstanding usability features, like the Alarm Clock, the Time Shift camera and ... that's it! All the other Cascades apps are just plain boring lists and grids (Video Player, Music Player, BBM, BlackBerryWord, Contacts, File Manager, Maps ...).

TAT's DNA was merged into BlackBerry but it was just a small drop on a much bigger bowl.

Downloaded paper today. Great app, I'll probably use it more than the Facebook application.

I also downloaded it on my iphone and it is pretty cool. Will probably be my go to app for checking Facebook. Has potential.
