Please, if you have any information pertaining to this question, let me know. I have a blackberry 8800 and my 9700 is in the mail. BUT, I know for a fact the gps on my phone is a Sirf gps chip, and the gps on the 8800 is goood. Now I looked and looked online for the detailed spec regarding the 9700 gps and came up pretty much blank. I guess the most I could find being revealed was that it's a Autonomous/Assisted gps of some sort.
