Wow that looks awesome, they should implement as much Cascades as possible. That's going to give them that WOW factor they need and are talking about. I got few WOWs from some Adroid coworkers when I showed them this:
As much as I love bbtraffic I would like it also if they incorporated it into bbmaps and just used a dot on the map to navigate us. How hard is that! Lol
Sorry for being the doubting Thomas here, but I think all TAT does is just make cool videos like these all day long. Haven't seen any of their proofs of concepts in action.
Sorry to be a buzz kill. But all of these were concepts never intended to come to fruition.
They always did that before RIM bought them. Just to show what was possible with their talent if a company wanted to hire them to create something like that.

Have you not seen any of the MWC videos? or last years BBworld? They were in action and you can see them. Now this is the year they actually arrive with bb10
That feature is in the navigon app (on the iPhone, possibly android too). They call it "reality scanner". Not really a new concept but its neat and demos well.

Check out Scrapbook on App World. It was a concept in a video from the last mwc now it's on the Playbook.

Yes Scrapbook is cool for about 5 min. But it's still a far cry from the concept shown in the OP. And the funny thing is that TAT website has many such videos with actual apps being less than 20% of what does are.
Exactly! Dag...these devices better have ginormous batteries...
I know right! imagine RIM coming up with solar powered batteries. We'd never run out of juice while the sun is out. Heck, the phone could charge when it's night-time without use of plugging it in, same for cloudy days.
