Agreed. Battery pull is where I would start.

Pulling the battery is a quick fix, but the OP will likely experience the same problem again.

Thinkamp may be on the right track, but it has to be checked before the battery pull or it is far less usefull.

If we can diagnose a low memory condition, we can treat it so the OP never has this problem again.

Edit: 8325i has 128 Mb Flash Memory.

If it's not low memory, we can troubleshoot further.

57 Mb is plenty, that is not were the problem is coming from.

Do you notice the spinning hourglass? That is an indication that a high priority thread is being serviced.

Are your emails and messages coming in slowly? That could be a problem at your carrier, usually it gets better the next day.

That means your BlackBerry is doing something that the programmers consider to be very important. Important enough to justify interrupting your service.

I would suggest observing it for a while, make note of how often you are being interrupted. Take that note with you when you talk to your carrier service reps.

When you have a documented complaint, they will do whatever is required to keep you a satisfied client. Most likely, a replacement.

OK cool i will do so.. i thought there was something I could do on the unit itself to stop this process or speed it back up.

If it were simply a matter of low memory, there is plenty of advise we can offer. That is not your issue, you have more then adequate free memory.
