Ola cabs / uber apps, Times of india & WhatsApp required apps.
PKB, size - the 1 which gives the real bb10 experience.
    Price- mid range - say 250-300 US$.

Do you use the phone mostly for calls, texting and emails? Try the Q10 for a palm and pocket friendly phone, or maybe its big brother the Classic.
Want a laptop in your pocket? check out the Passport and imagine listening to Huey Lewis and the News playing 'Hip To Be Square' while you're editing reports.
Like to use the latest social apps while watching your favorite reality TV shows? Try...the...er...well...to be honest...BB10 phones might not be for you. Check out the Dtek50 maybe?

Ok, i'll use the apps on the moto x play.
I want a bb to experience the os that i hav heard of being the best & irreplaceable, from my cousins.
    A leap / z30 / q10..
Or does the playbook provide the same exp?
And which of these will hav support for cobalt's workarounds.
According to cobalt, the workarounds will support all Android apps(or so i understood), what is the experience at a practical level, specially on q10?

The PlayBook runs an older version of pre-BB10... doesn't work with newer Android apps or Cobalt's "workarounds".

Just my opinion, but I'd say that BB10 on any of the devices will work about the same, with Cobalt's "workarounds". With Google Play and patching of those apps that need it, you should get a good 80% -85% compatibility with Android apps.

But the Android runtime is "stuck" and Android 4.3.... so app compatibility is dropping and will only get worse from this point on as many developers are starting to phase out support for pre Android 4.4 or even 5.0.

Personally I'm not sure buying a BB10 device at this point is a wise move... especially if you are interested in Apps.

I say go for BlackBerry Android. But if you really just want to experience the BB10 experience, might as well get the Passport!

Go with the Classic. It's a great phone and it's more of a traditional BlackBerry phone than the other devices BB10 has to offer. But like others are saying, if apps are going to be a problem then look at the Priv or DTEK50.

I would suggest a classic or a passport.. Classic is the most guaranteed experience.. The Passport is also an excellent device with a bigger screen but no track-pad and a little wide... Check them both online or in stores (if you can find them) then go for what suits you.

I wouldn't aim for a BlackBerry without a PKB, I don't know about you but for me that's the real BlackBerry experience..

BB10 phone cannot run the above apps smoothly. The best phone which can handle all the above apps is the Priv or the Dtek 50 . Going by your budget Dtek fits your budget.

Because he didn't try it before.. He already has an Android.. So something new even without apps will be an experience for him.. Specially the PKB.

If he wants an Android BlackBerry then the Priv would be the obvious choice.

Classic sells for around $200.. Passport around $300 if you look around.. Ebay is your best option for both.. Online retailers sell them for much more.
