Agreed!! I settled for a z10 when it became clear that a slider replacement for my Torch would be a long time coming. I would gladly switch to a new BB10 slider in a heartbeat. Unfortunately with BlackBerry's announced 4 phone future, I doubt that there's room for a slider phone but one can hope!! The portrait slider is a niche market but BlackBerry wants to be a company targeting the 'prosumer' niche. If there is one group that make the most out of sliders it is the 'prosumer'. The most common complaint I hear (aside from "lack of apps" and "BB has no future so why buy a BB?") when it comes to the q10 is that the screen isn't big enough to satisfy people in a world with increasing multi-media content. A slider is the perfect way to allow these power users to keep the use of the q10 keyboard to speed through typing emails and documents, but it also still gives them screen real estate to view multi-media without any screen envy. Finally, no one else is really making one!! So why not be THE platform for people who want a slider instead of competing as one of many platforms in the touch-only category??

I definitely hope he likes Sliders. As far as losing money, if he takes BlackBerry over and loses money(unless it's really bad), the public will never know....same with the earnings. That lid will be closed very tight for awhile. Keeps the naysayers quiet.
