    I installed Playbook apps manager and added it as a chrome extension. I connected playbook and using development mode I put in IP address saved it and the Program showed all my playbook apps.
    I then dragged the whatsapp file to the corner and it installed and appeared on the playbook.
    When I tapped the icon the message was
    Whatsapp has a problem and it needs to be installed again. go to Play store etc.

    Thanks for any help as my wife wants it done pronto!

    You will have to find a version of WhatsApp that is compatible with Android 2.3 if you want any chance of it working. You'll also have to convert it to a bar file first, as PlayBook cannot install apk's directly.
