BlackBerry isn't a charity. If they can't make it on their own, they shouldn't be in business

My bid is CAD1.00 for BlackBerry lock-stock-and-barrel on the condition the company be in private-ownership status at the time I hand over the dollar coin.

Might be tough for those guys in Nigeria, Jakarta and South Africa and it would cut into the small allowance the Missus gives her hubby in the UK.

Could have bought in at $8 and sold at $14, would have been a nice little turn around, but you know what they say about hind sight.

80 million users - most of whom either didn't care enough about smartphones to update their device to the latest features - or just take whatever phone is free at upgrade time - and you expect them to donate $100?

A better gauge would be to take the number of users who posted on Crackberry within the past month and shoot for 25% donation rate

I'd rather flush $100 than give it to a company that has plenty of it but won't do anything with it because they all
want to ride off into the sunset as multi-millionaires.

Wait, so in addition to paying for the devices we have to now give them $100?

Are they going to give me a free device after my donation? No. You have to realize that this is a multi-billion dollar corporation, not a charity. Their goal like any corporation is to make money and if they can't do that then there are other options. The best way to support a company is to buy their products and services.

Seems like you were joking though lol

I sometimes feel that thorten actually don't want to run this company anymore....
