Hey guys, I just wanted to rant about my BIS plan. I only have 2MB of data and then I have to start paying which is absolutely ridiculous, and yes I said 2MB, I asked my provider if it was 2MB or 2GB, and the guy goes "Sorry it is only 2MB not GB". I'm just like wtf. On top of that I have 800 mins, and 100 free texts which isn't bad I guess, but whenever i'm out my phone's data service is off.... Just thought I share my pain and frustration with you guys. And to be honest I really miss my Galaxy S2...

WTF? Why did you sign with them in the first place?

Just like Hong Kong, the cost of BIS is very high but only offers limited data, 2mb...10mb...including the data for browsing and third-party apps. WTF right?

in 2008 my company's data plans were 2MB per user, and it was a pretty common plan here.

    Why can't you upgrade?
what plan did your G2 have? and what was the difference in price?

Wow that does suck! Makes me really appreciate my unlimited data! Is there another carrier you can use instead?

Wow, I think a BB just sitting there would use that in less then an hour. Is there anyway for you to get a better plan?

Hate to break it to you, but it's not RIM's fault that you're unhappy. It's your fault for signing a contract that doesn't fit your needs before researching it. Welcome to the real world where doing dumb things have consequences...

    OUCH.

I had a loaner Droid for 3 days and it used up more data in that time than my BB does in a month. Don't ask me how that's possible, but it did.

What's your galazy have to do with it? Is 2mbs the biggest pkg they have? What does it cost to go over?

Actually that's damn close to not being a joke.

I cannot fathom how the OP could have handled that data plan with a Galaxy S2. Berries are much more efficient where data consumption is concerned.

A 2 MB data plan for a BB is a starvation diet. I mainly use mine for email, texts, and some web surfing and I'm usually at at about 1.5 GB. Of course I also have FB and twitter running in the background.
