    This has been covered in other threads. WhatsApp made some changes to their Android app so the work-around is no longer necessary.
    Why could they not have done it sooner

    For what reason? They've always warned they don't support BB10 through Android.

    If they really cared, they wouldn't have dropped native BB10 support in the first place.

    As it is such an easy way of being multi platform including bb10...
    WhatsApp was suppose to be working to add support for KaiOS, wonder if that helped BB10 in some way...

    At this point multi platform is pretty much iOS, Android and KaiOS... Proable not very many BB10 users left, and of those that there are... good proton wouldn't be caught with a Social App on their phone. So maybe 50K BB10 WhatsApp users?

    The classic is still a great phone for those using text and email and phone not much more. Adding whatsapp makes a difference For those wanting whatsapp and not more. I still have much request for classics.
