Am i correct to assume that HTML email takes up a lot more space than plain text email?

If this is the case i will have to delete more often.

    Thank you for any insight!

    170,011 bytes

Your question, as expressed in the vB HTML formatted page takes about 170 Kb to express.

The same question in text would be about 100 bytes.

I'm confused...wasn't the question about html enabled mail on the BB...what does the forum display have to do with how much memory is used for html mail on the BB??

As for the answer it only makes sense to assume that html mail would use a little more memory as it includes formatting code (html) to display your message a certain way. I don't think its enough to cause alarm...its when you download the images for that email that memory consumption will go up. Of course if you keep your email clean and delete stuff don't need to keep it shouldn't really be an issue.

I used that as an example of the difference between HTML and Text files.

The extra fromatting and the number of included images means much bigger messages. HTML is the standard on desktops and now BlackBerry.
