How to win back Mums and Dads to BB
I'm not sure if such a service exists for mobile phones yet, but I would sure like to RIM offer a service to families similar to OpenDNS. A simple yet powerful way for parents to register younger family members BB's on a website run by RIM, and the ability to configure options on the children's phones.
I'm thinking:
1) the ability to screen/filter/block BBM or text messages unless whitelisted. Also log text messages received. Handy for cyberbullying or proving innocence when sent what is legally child porn from someone.
2) The ability to shut down certain phone functions by time of day or location i.e. School. Now at least I know johnny might not be paying attention in class, but it's not from goofing off with his phone. He can still make emergency calls or call parents... etc.
This would be a great way for RIM to sell to the whole family... you know parents would be all over it...
What do you guys think?
