OK, just got the 8900 AT&T, I dont have a data plan, but want to use WIFI from my Router..the problem is that when I connect to my network and turn Media NEt off, the Phone wont connect. It only connects to wifi when Media Net is on...Is this how it works?..How do I know if I am getting charged using Bolt?
If you hit "u" while in your browser, it'll show the title bar. If you're using "WiFi" it'll have the WiFi symbol. If you're using EDGE it'll show that.
Probably the easiest way to do that is to bookmark a site (like Google, but any site will do) and change the "default browser" to WiFi. That will force it to switch to the WiFi. So when you start your browser up, go into "Go To" and click on the link. If you see the WiFi circle in the corner, you know you're on WiFi. If it doesn't work, it's a WiFi connection issue.
