Hi everyone,

I am lucky enough to own both the z10 and the q10, I switch between the phones for a few months and go back and forth.

My question is, how do you store the phones battery.

Do you just leave it In the phone or store it without the battery in the phone?

You can simply turn off the phone without removing the battery. Less hassle, and less prone to battery door broken being removed all the time.

It's ALWAYS best to remove the battery when storing a device for periods of time as when the connectors touch, it will drain. And make sure the connectors aren't in contact with metal when storing for the same reasons.

When I ran two devices a couple years back I just left the battery in the non used device. I did however put it on the charger about once a month to keep the battery from just sitting in a dead state. Do not know whether that helped at all but it was just something I did for my own piece of mind. AJ's idea above is also a good way to do it.

I keep the battery pulled on my 9630 (backup phone) and put the battery back in every few months to charge it. I would say it discharges at a much slower rate when it's pulled from the device. I don't think letting the battery drain to 0% or near 0 for extended periods is good for the battery.

It's also best to store the battery at around 50%. Not that it makes a huge difference but it makes for slower battery drain and it stays at a more constant state.
