How many o from peeps use the BlackBerry assistant? It's kinda slow! I may not have to use it to say "bbm phil" or something. It takes so much time to do it. I can do it by typing lB. If you use it, what for?

I use it for replying to emails or text when I'm on the go....
I use it to enter text when I'm too lazy to type. I make a phone call from it once in a while.
Typed and swiped from my Passport.
Use it all the time when in my car via Bluetooth.
I use it mainly for creating calendar appointments.
I don't. I even wish I could completely disable the Assistent on BB10 and revert back to the original, more responsive global search we had since 10.1

For me Assistant works pretty well on a good Wi-Fi signal but not so well on my cellular network.

I use it only and ALL the time in the car. It's excellent for responding to emails and text messages while driving
I too would like to just have a simple voice dial option that doesn't require data. I live in an area that is sometimes spotty. The assistant just doesn't seem well on 1X
Me too.
I use my phone as my music source in my car via bluetooth. I use assistant for making calls, and listening to and sending BBM msgs to my wife.
It does the job but is oh so slow.
Yesterday I was driving to a different city and had to get directions and wanted to use BlackBerry maps. So I decided to try the assistant to see if it would work. I didn't know if it could open maps and search for the place. It did, and it started to voice prompts automatically. It actually worked pretty good, just slow.
Hopefully it will receive some updates regularly and get faster.

Too slow. Like a Gen1 Siri. If I was a roadwarrior then perhaps use it in the car but everywhere else its easier to accomplish the same task w/o Assistant.
Yes I type away when I need to search something quick. Like a contact or a website or a note in reminder. It's very effective for quick searching. Assistant is very useful if you use it right.
I have 16 rows of apps and am just using the assistant to quickly open them on my passport.
Most of the time,I am just typing into it. If I it weren't that slow recognising sprach, I would use it more. For now I see it as a very quick way for setting timers and reminders...

I use it in my car to tell people I'm on my way and such. it works pretty good, but once in a while it has difficulty understanding me which forces you to have to listen to a long dialogue list of choices (which you cannot interrupt) anf god have mercy if it STILL doesn't understand you.
But that doesn't happen too often.
I do! Pretty frequently. But only when driving.

You can turn it off completely and revert back to a morre responsive global search by turning off full assistance in the search app settings

I check the weather with it occasionally but otherwise I don't use it.
It's pretty functional though. Just a tad slow.

I use it in my car. I have a smart tag and will tap my phone when I need to make a call and connect with my bluetooth hands free stereo microphone. Also will use it to Play music, read messages and call people. No complaints.

Pretty slow :/
I use BlackBerry Assistant all the time to search things on the Internet, open apps or view contacts. I just type from the home screen, it's not slow for me it's instant all the time. I don't bother with use voice so I can't comment on that

I use Assistant all the time for recording appointments making calls etc. On our recent trip around Florida it provided great turn-by-turn directions including warning us of traffic congestion and reported incidents. It was great and not slow at all.

I use Assistant constantly when I'm driving for hands free calling. I never knew about the direction/navigation capabilities. How do you make that happen, just say "Assistant take me home?
OMG, I just looked at the navigation commands in Assistant. Take Me Home is one those. I'm going to have to try that tonight.
