None of the poll answers apply to me. But i have been using BB for about 6 years now. I will continue using BlackBerry until it no longer is the best choice for me... i wouldn't say im loyal to any brand though. (used to be)

Curve to a HTC Magic back to Bold 9000 to a Bold 9780 to an iPhone 4 back to a Z10.

I used BlackBerrys for a decade, having made the transition from Palm Treo phones. It was a revelation - especially the rock solid stability. I've made brief forays into other platforms over the years but always came running back to BlackBerry.

My briefest foray was back to Palm with the release of the Palm Pre. Ugh! That lasted 12 painful days, just long enough to get my rebate from Sprint. I had to open a new line and let the Palm Pre sit idle with my old number for an additional 18 days, but I was using a BlackBerry again!

My longest time apart from BlackBerry is my current flirtation with an iPhone. I'm a Mac user at home so giving the iPhone a shot was just natural. I really avoided it for as long as I could, but circumstances conspired to push me in the iOS direction. First, I left my job after 24 years (their idea, not mine) and lost access to a BES connection. And getting a BlackBerry to sync with a Mac is problematic. But the biggest problem I encountered with a BlackBerry on BIS was losing access to my subfolders in email. The iPhone solves all those problems and I've been using it for over a year.

I've used every tier 1 carrier in the U.S. and currently find myself locked into a contract with Sprint. Along comes the new BlackBerry operating system and the Q10. BIS is now gone and it looks like I just might bet access to my subfolders again. So where is the freakin' Q10 on Sprint??? Everybody else has it but Sprint, the "Now Network" seems to be saying, "not now." I'm back with BlackBerry the second those tossers at Sprint take off the barbecue mitts and release the darn thing!!!

BlackBerry has been my device of choice since the 7290, but every time I've bought a new one, I have looked at everything else out there, but BlackBerry has been the best choice for me. Had BlackBerry not made the jump to BB10, I would have bailed to Windows Phone this time around.

Yeah I was thinking Win phone too with the hope it would integrate with my MS stuff the best. Then I discovered BB10 was in the offing and held my ATT upgrade for 5 months.

I'm pretty new to BlackBerry. My wife bought me a playbook for Christmas a couple years back and I bought two more for the kids last Christmas when they were really cheap. I got the Z10 in May and now I've made it my personal mission to keep BlackBerry solvent. I download at least an app or two every week and there are two A10s in my future. One for me and one for my wife. She's using an S2 and I'll have to pay the balance of her phone off but after that we'll be an all BlackBerry household!

I switched over to BlackBerry around 2005-2006 when I was doing a tremendous amount of International traveling. It seemed most of my fellow International travelers were using BlackBerrys. One day in the Admirals Club I was having a conversation with a gentleman while checking out his BlackBerry device...what he said has stuck with me since that day. "This mobile device is a tool, not a toy." Picked up a BB 7130 after that trip and never looked back.

Yes, BlackBerry is great for both domestic and international travel. Perfect for keeping up on email.

What's wrong with your brain? One person can't keep a multi billion dollar company solvent. Your app downloads probably contribute pennies to there bottom line.

I had been loyal to BB since 2001, when I got the 950. When the Z10 came out and it was clear (1) my company would not be supporting new BB devices and (2) BB users would still be remaining in steerage class on the big smartphone app ship, I bailed. The last three years have been very trying for BB users. I'm much happier now.

BB Pearl--back in 2007, then switched to BB8310 after few months. Then in 2010 switched to BB Bold 9700 (which actually made me a lifetime fan), after a year switched to BB9780.
Then in 2012 came the BB Bold 9900, fell in love with this phone, so perfect.
Now, have the Z10. But cant use it until it gets the Wifi calling, as the place i moved to has no service from tmobile. Eagerly waiting for that. Till then BB9900 is doing the job

    Love it

My first experience with bb was Storm & was not happy one. Then I met my beloved Style. I'm an addict ever since. Had 9800, 9360, 9900 & now Q10. Will stick with bb as long as there is bb.

Fell in love back with the pearl 8130, after that had a storm 2 9550. I then moved on to a bold 9930, and just a couple months ago bought a z10. oh, and also bought a 32g playbook when they were first released.

My first smartphone was an iPhone 3G. I got bored with iOS and incredibly sick of wasting my time on stupid games and apps. The first BlackBerry I got a Curve 8900 4 years ago and that's when I was hooked. It was my favorite BlackBerry and it will be for a long time. Then I got a 9800 and then a 9900. Not sure if my Q10 will ever beat it just for sentimental reasons... lol
