Thanks for all the opinions everyone!!

Hi, let me just say that I went thru 6 BB & just decided 2 stay with this one only because it was the best working one. I have Tmobile & from my understanding they were all new & not refurbished. The best thing I can say is just hang in there but if u get 2 a point where ur tired of going thru the exchanges, them ur carrier u rather not deal with another BB of the same model but instead want 2 speak 2 a supervisor bcuz u want another phone. It will work, u just have 2 be persistant.

Can I ask what was wrong with yours?? Were they all different problems, or was there a common trend?

Haven't had to exchange my Bold yet. Been a couple of months.

However I did exchange my ex-Curve about 8 times.

That sounds like it may be me (the 8 time exchange). Same question goes for you if you don't mind: were they all different problems??

I had to exchange mine twice. First time it would just power off randomely. Second time the battery life was horrible may have been the battery but didnt want to take any chances lol. Third one works perfect

I have personal knowledge of 5 users with Bolds, all fault-free on delivery and still working despite a few software glitches and the inevitable user-induced issues.

3 Bolds in the first month, the last one was fine with the exception of the loose back. I think Ill just have to settle for a great phone with minor issues.

Never got a bad Blackberry. I've had the 7230, 7730, 7105t, 8100, 8300, 8800, 8820, and Bold. Plus a couple of duplicates here and there. I'd sell one, upgrade, and then find I missed my old model.

Haven't gotten a defective berry yet... Don't see how people go through 3+ bad phones... willing to bet it's almost always user error.

Started out with 8130 went through 2. Then uscc upgraded me to the 8330 and I'm on my third one. It has worked great have had it for about 4 months.

My first Pearl was the 8110 and for whatever reason I couldn't transfer my contacts over from the SIM. Happened to be a good thing because the rep didn't know what she was talking about and told me that it had wifi...so I got to upgrade to the 8120 while getting out of a bad BB too.

Once. Very first day I had it. It took me three days to get a new one because my carrier is clueless when it comes to Blackberries. (Ended up being an issue with the account, not the phone.) I eventually solved the problem for them, armed with info from the friendlies on here. Then it only took two months to whittle my bills down from $700/month to the more reasonable $165 they are now.

I find that generally everything works really smoothe. Sure there are some small nuisances that aren't perfect but i think thats why so many people are returning their blackberries even for the smallest things. I could understand a really bad issue that affects general use but when people get fixes for items they never even use it boggles my mind.

i have had 3 8830, 2 curves and before that 2 voyagers (that led me to getting the bb)

thats 7 and all from the 1st change (nov 14) to jan 15 and i got the first phone (signed up with vzw) on oct 08.

got the voyager on Oct 14
exchanged that one on Nov 6 (for another voyager)
the second voyager on Nov 7 (for a bb 8830)
the 1st bb on December 20 or so
    2nd on Dec 29
3rd on Jan 3 (to the curve)
and the last one on jan 10 for an unrelated issue to the rest (the phone was splitting and i couldn't use the usb port on the puter)

I had a BB8330 with sprint. It developed a bad keyboard. Just got my refurb curve 8330 its got a bad 8 button and resets itself for no reason and randomly chooses to not notify me of my emails and texts. What a waste of time.

I think all they do is wipe>reload os>replace keyboard (if necessary)>replace external covers (if necessary)....essentially WE THE PEOPLE are getting someone else's problem. If the os reload fixes the issue then fine if not then a given phone will be returned hundreds of times.

I exchanged my 8330 a couple of times before Sprint realized there wasnt anything wrong with my device-they needed to reset my account for some reason to get my service to work properly. Ugh....oh well.
So what exactly did you have to do cuz it seems like the network never likes me.
