Loving my 9900. Can't say it's the best fn phone in the world, but I can say it's the best fn phone for me ... so it got the 'really awesome' vote.

Cheesy phone (style) cheesy carrier (Boost mobile), No wonder why you have such a dis-like for Blackberry.
Cheesy? My Style has the same specs as most Blackberries. And my Boost/Sprint carrier is great and I am sure it gets much better reviews than your problem plagued carrier.

Wait, you were ripping your phone, but now you're defending it? Which is it?

Im defending my carrier not my phone. Im just stating that the issues I have with my phone are not just reserved for the Style as many other BB have the same specs.

yeah specs as old blackberry's but not new ones 528mhz processor vs 1.2
and not to mention how much faster the browser is in OS7 compare to OS6
my friend had this phone from boost for like 1 day spinning clock all day,she hated it so much returned it and went back to her old 8530. I hated that phone too and I'm a
Blackberry fan, but damn a 2" screen yikes no wonder Boost dropped it out of their
    lineup in 1 month.
maybe you should consider the new OS7 9350 curve coming out for Boost

With my T-Mobile G2 Android phone it was a love hate relationship I had with it....I smashed it to pieces. But I'm in love with my Curve from Sprint.

I was wondering about that. They still sell it over at AT&T on their online store I think....but they haven't introduced anything new yet...it's a shame. A friend of mine in England only loves the Pearl series.

They haven't. They're just trying to figure out how to shoehorn in the Curve 9360's processor while still having a battery life that's bearable.

Well in a way I hope your wrong lol While I went with the much larger Bold I loved my Pearl and using a Curve for awhile made it easier to go Bold.

The Pearl is still a nice MP3 player when I go walking or for a run and don't want a phone (9900). Plus its useable to take notes etc if needed, my mini PDA

I just got my 9900 a few weeks ago and I couldn't be happier! Took too long but 7.1 is out and I am able to do all the things I want plus some.

Black Bold 9900. I was skeptical just looking at the device in the store. However, having now used it for a month, I am very happy with the phone. It is well built and an improvement over my last Blackberry Bold 9700.

I am on the 9860 & PB combo with no intentions of making any change until after QNX comes out of beta and the fixes are out. Since everything works perfect, I see no sense in fixing (upgrade/replace) something that isn't necessary for some time to come.

4.5 months with my 9860 and i'm still in love. That's gotta be some kind of record for me.
I was thinking the exact same thing! After being on my 9860, there is nothing I would replace it with. Nice to see that I am not the only one ... Guess I can cancel the psych eval ... I'm not loosing my mind!

I currently have a 9780. Had it for a year now, it does what I need it to do and it does it well. I'm waiting for the BB10 phones. I love the Torch 9800/9810 series so I really hope there will be a Torch like device (no landscape slider) running BB10 by December. I'm hoping that will be my next phone.

Pretty easy statement since your using the newest hard/software. Where some believe that there won't be another os until qnx is released.

My 9800 is a great, reliable phone. I recently just installed the latest OS from Rogers on it (a clean install) and it works great. MUCH faster than it ever was!

I will wait for the next generation of bbx phone with a keyboard.

After 18 months I still think my 9700 is one of the best that RIM ever produced.

When I read of all the issues with the new phones, it makes me realise how great this little marvle has been, and still is. Can't get my head around what device to upgrade to in 6 months time that could compete.
    Pretty much this ^^

I switched to my mother in law's iPhone 3G in November when she got a 4s. At first I liked it, then got really annoyed by the lag time for apps. I just went back to my 9700 and forgot how much I loved this phone. The apps I use are available for BB anyway, so I'm not missing out on much, safe for a better web browser.

My wife wants to switch to 4s (she currently has a 9800), and while I was on board with that when I was still using the 3G, I'm now going to take a long hard look at the 9900. Although I'm tempted just to wait for Q4 to see what's out then.
