So.. I have a 24 month contract with Orange.. and my phone is broke.

I'm currently borrowing my sisters phone, and when I turn it on with my sim in it, I get a message " the Sim is currently in need of a MEP code "

How can I get this code?

Your sister needs to contact the original carrier that the phone is locked to, i.e. O2. I don't know what the rules/practices are in the UK, but the carrier may not give you guys the code. Your other option would be to try third party services, such as the one posted above.

I did the second one, downloaded the software etc...

This is the MEP code I was given.

I did it..

but the phone doesn't change.. it simply changes the "7 tries left " to 6 Tries.. I did it again, and I'm now only left with 5 tries.

Any help?

Glad it worked out for you! Yep - MEP2 is the one you need.
