A buddy of mine took a pic of a Z10 and posted it on Facebook. Today, I see this comment:

So when is Apple going to sue BlackBerry for copying their design, homescreen and rectangles with rounded edges? I'm not an Apple fanboy at all, but these first two things are not just points of some significance, but are also clearly stolen from Apple. I wouldn't be suprised if Blackberry made a Z10S that looks almost exactly the same but with better hardware and then made a Z15 a year later with a longer screen and a bit better hardware.

I don't even know what to say.

EDIT. I should've been clearer. It was not my friend who made the comment, it was one of his friends who I don't know.

Seriously, many phones have similar looks. It's bound to happen. IOS's home screen is nothing but a grid lol. It doesn't get any more simple than that. Android has the same too. BB10's actual home screen looks nothing like IOS though.

Let's be real. The Z10 is a knock off iphone. If anything, the one is also a iphone knockoff.

Your friend is completely wrong and needs to get their facts straight. BlackBerry didn't steal from iPhone or iOS.

They stole from the Nokia N9 running Meego Harmattan. Tell your friend to get educated and have them click the link below. That page is 2 years old now.

For more education, look up Jolla Sailfish. It is the official continuation of Meego and works just like BB10.

A person can argue that BlackBerry copied iPhone also, but their is no denying that they deliberately copied Meego.

Anyone that thinks a Z10 is an Apple clone, clearly needs to give their head a shake. I don't see any resemblance aside from the general rectangle shape (maybe they think Apple invented and patented the rectangle) , which 90% of phones out there use.
Apple is just another phone. It's not new or revolutionary or even intuitive. The Apple phone wishes it was a Z10.

Its a glass phone, how many different shape can they really have? I remember when all flip phone looked identical, what's the big deal afterall. I don't hate apple's product but the iphone isn't for me.

iPhone icons are square with very rounded corners. Z10 icons are rectangles with rounded off corners. They don't really look alike. As to the grid design, the first BlackBerry smartphone devices used that design. So who stole from whom?

Spend a little time with Google Images and see what I mean.
