I am a Sprint customer and tried using the data cable for my blackberry to use my Sprint internet on my laptop. I am not the smartest with computers so can someone tell me how to use my blackberry (8130) internet on my laptap. I thought I would just connect the usb to my phone then to my laptap and I would get some icon to click on. Well that didnt work. Help anyone?

I'm not sure with Verizon, do you pay for wi-fi?? and do they offer tethering??

That's called tethering. You can call your carrier to see if they offer it, and if there's a charge for the service. The 8130 does not have wi-fi.

JeffH is right. Free tethering is permitted under T-Mobile's BlackBerry Unlimited plan, while AT&T requires the use of a special data plan. I'm not familiar with other carriers' policies. Call your carrier and inquire about charges (and if it's even available with your service provider) prior to taking action.
