How do I turn off my data and email when International?

Hi everyone.

I just got a Blackberry 9650 on SPRINT and I'm going to France next week. I have added and international plan to my phone. Although I'm fine with the voice and text rates, I'm worried that my email and data fees will be very large because I have a large amount of email and large files downloading all the time.

Is there a way that I can set the phone for Calls and Text messaging only?

I don't want to use my email or browser at all or anything that will count as kb/s down.

Any help would be appreciated.

Manage Connections -> Mobile network options--> Data services-> Off

Once you are in the new country when you turn on the radio, it should ask you if you want to disable data while roaming.
