It sounds like you encrypted the files on the SD card using the option that only allows them to viewed in the original device. That's the most secure, but least convenient in this case. I gave up trying to encrypt my card because I couldn't get it to work well. I think you'll need to unencrypt the files using the original BlackBerry before you can copy them.
All I can do is point you to the User Guide. Since your phone is much newer than mine, the capability might be different. And I never got it to work for me, even reading the manual. The User Guide is typically available as a searchable PDF. That's how I use mine.
