If you are IN the conversation, not just the BBM window open, it will auto read. If you are just in the BBM app with no specific app open, you can see the message come in, and not read it.
I just upgraded my 8830 to the new operating system. On my old OS, if I received a bbm while the conversation was still open and then pressed end, it would appear that the message was still unread despite me already reading it. It allowed me to ignore annoying bbms that I didn't want to reply to. On the upgraded version if I pressed end, it shows that the bbm was read and exists the bbm application.
Does anyone know how to change it back to the old bbm settings where I was able to do this?
I got news for you. If the convo was open and you received a BBM message
and then you pressed the end button, your messages were being shown as
read. Upgrading your OS has nothing to do with it. BBM works the same.
