Im looking to purchase a used blackberry bold that has a WORKING pin. I would like to know how i could distinguish whether it is a preproduction or current model.!! Please help and thanks.!

All preproduction models were bricked by RIM and the carrier. That's that happened to this sites community manager Kevins preproduction Bold.
