I have a group set up and want to download our group ical calendar from our website - not everyone will have the time, patience, or know-how to input every single of the 82 events into the calendar.
Is there a way to do this, similar to the one input into the single calendar?

Sure...
Phone settings, accounts, new account
Chose the new account being a calendar
On the next screen, enter the data: the website, server adress (like you would do it on your computer when configuring outlook) then log in data and you're done!

Abonn. Kalender (for subscribed calender) this one I meant for setting up your shared calendar...

If you can "read only" then try to set it up as you have done with your e-mail/calendar/contacts account (first icon)

but how can I make it show in the GROUP calendar?

If you mean BBM-Group... it must be shown... when you enter a new appointment, arrow down (click on the word "Local" in calendar category) and you can chose on which calendar the entry relies to!

So new appointment
Edit it by clicking either on your name/calendar name/local (it is in the window where is also shown the clock to set up notification at x minutes/hours before appointment, except you have to click on your name/calendar name and the option is shown as BBM-Group
