    You can't remove / upgrade or change the storage capacity.

    Physically remove? Not really.
    The memory chips are soldered to the main board and the main board is the IMEI/PIN of your device.
    You can change out the main board, but then you would basically have a different BlackBerry.

    Empty it? Yeah, sorta.
    You can use an Autoloader to overwrite the existing operating system on the BlackBerry to a different or same version.
    You can also activate a Security Wipe that clears off all user data, apps, and settings which returns the device to a "out of box" state.
    There are also programs one can run on a computer to access and "delete" data on the BlackBerry memory, however it is extremely easy to "brick" the device this way, making it unusable.

    What issues are you having that warrant removing or emptying the flash memory?
