Please help light and proximity dead after update on passport, I ve tried reloading d os, tried rebooting and a restart aswell, no possible fix. Someone help cos this is cracking me a little bit. Thanks for ur solutions to come

How did you find out?
Did you check using BBVE?

I've used it a couple of times, never had any real issues expect double-typitis on Q10...

Agreed, test with BlackBerry Virtual Expert found in BlackBerry World for free.
tested with BBVE and it showed light and proximity sensor "unavailable"... now the keyboard light wont turn-of
*tears* It now takes about 15 seconds to wake up when I take it out of my pouch, the keyboard no longer lights up, Rebooting fixes everything temporarily but it reverts to this odd (and extremely annoying) behaviour pretty much as soon as it goes to sleep.
When you say rebooting fixes everything temporarily, does that mean, /everything/ is behaving normally until sleep? If so, then it's not a hardware issue, but a software one. It's odd that an OS re-install didn't fix it. Did you happen to restore settings from a backup file? Maybe something in the backup file keeps bringing the problems back.
At this point, re-install the OS onto the Passport and *don't* restore from backup, but rather set up your Passport as new. Maybe you'll lose some settings, but at least you'll have a fully functioning Passport. After the Passport reboots for the first time, do another Software Update check to see if there aren't any small update files to install.
I have same issues on my pasport after update to the latest 10.3.2 OS, the proximity and light sensor showing UNAVAILABLE on BBVE test, have you found the way to fix it?
