When the 9000 came out, there were threads on here about whether it was just too big. Then the 9700 series arrived, scaled down to the same size as the Curve, which was about the size of a playing card (not speaking of thickness here). In the meantime, there are a number of rather large Android phones out there, and now we have the Bold 9900/30, which has the same length and width as the kitchen sponge that I use to clean dishes.

But now that there are so many larger phones out, driven in part by the sorts of things that work better on larger screens, I have to wonder whether there would be interest in an even bigger Bold (one-piece physical keyboard). The next size up might be...the size of a standard passport.

I'm wondering how many people would be interested in a Bold like that.

I would buy a larger version of the bold. I have a big set of mitts and my fingers a large and clunky. Typing on a touch screen is almost impossible for me. Doing it on a torch i find myself typing with my fingernails. The first day they release a larger bold, I'm down.

the size of the 99XX is perfect for me, i can't imagine me going back to 97XX,
playing card size. but i don't like it too big either. a little bigger can do.
but not too big. i don't want cramp by using a too big or a too tiny phone.
it needs to fit perfectly in your handpalm.

I'd certainly be interested in that, the attraction of the 9000 and 9900 for me is the larger keyboard.

I've thought about having a larger Bold before. I too have big hands and would like a slightly larger one.

If RIM are going to improve on the size of the 99xx screen it will have to be larger all round.

A couple of the 'Dreamberry' concepts looked like larger Bolds 99xx's.

I hope they come out with one that has a big screen. Full qwerty, big screen!

The market has shown that people are willing to walk around with a large ball crushing phone in their pocket. Some of those touch screen phones out there now are huge.

The solution is a 9900 and a Playbook. With the PlayBook you have the big screen when you need it. If you don't need it, leave it at home or in the briefcase/purse or in the car. With a big phone, you have no options.

I'd like a bigger Bold with a playbook.

I wouldn't want any bigger then the 9900. I LOVE the 9900 keyboard. & the screen is nice too....but when holding it, I sometimes miss my smaller 9700. (but strangely enouph not the 9780) The nice thing about the 9700 is you can hold it in 1 hand & type with your thumb. the 9900 is a bit too big for that & you need 2 hands. Also, I wear my phones on my hip (swivel holster) and the 9900 seems a bit big, gets in the way when getting into the car (so did the 9700, but the 9900 is more so)

I say no wider. Maybe taller, but not wider

No large screens, that's just not blackberry in my opinion the 9900 is perfect. 9700 is my favorite size preference though.

9900 is perfect size. One of the reason I liked it over alot of other huge phones out there.

The bigger the better - will appreciate bigger Bold, not interested in bigger screen as PB all the time with me, but larger QWERTY will be wonderfull.
