Now that we have a new CEO I hope that the company re-evaluates releasing a tablet. BB10 on a tablet format would be so awesome. Release it with better bridge capabilities and boom. What do you guys think?

I think that a better bridge and better BBM on a tablet would be great. Wait I mean AND bbm on a tablet would be great! LOL They give it to iOS and Android but not to the PB! Sheesh!
If my z30 could project itself on some sort of tablet and change the os to tablet orientation, i would be down with that. It would be much cheaper than buying new hardware just for a duplication of bb10 on a bigger screen. There has to be a better way.

What they need is to focus on mobile computing... wouldn't it be nice if we only needed the phone to which we would hook (wirelessly) any type of touch screen?
Upon connection, the os would adapt to the screen resolution to which it is connected and work just like a tablet if connected to a tablet size screen or like a desktop if connected to a monitor. Just sayin'

What I want is a "dumb PlayBook " where I can hook my device up using wifi direct or mircast and use it like a bigger version of my phone.
I don't need the whole "bridge" because I'd be more than happy using my whole phone OS on a tablet peripheral.

I'm completely good with the idea of a "dumb tablet" that is essentially a large screen for your phone but the price has to be right, unfortunately things like the nexus 7 and super cheap chinese manufactured android tablets have set such a price point that it leaves little room for what is essentially a lower spec version. The screen which afaik is the most expensive part is still there.

I would like to see them bring back a tablet. I have a feeling that they might, if BlackBerry ends up doing well. I think the news today was good news. I think a change up is the best. BB10 can be very successful with the right kind of marketing...but yeah, I would like to see a tablet in the works is all goes well.
Well they had one in the pipeline supposedly for this year right? They just canned it.

I hope so too. I also hope that the existing PB gets some updates. We don't need BB10 or the UI for BB10 but parts of it would be nice.
App Integration
BB10 Browser
Faster App Open/Close process
Full Bridge Integration
BB10 keyboard
This is not a long list and would give life to existing PB's sitting out there and renewed interest from their owners like me! I can't use my PB anymore cause its browser really is that bad compared to my BB10 browser.
I too vote for any type of tablet with bridge function. Let's hope for the best.

I'm all for another tablet. Heck, it doesn't even need to be a "real" tablet with its own OS. If I can just wirelessly mirror the tablet screen to my phone (use the tablet screen as my Z's monitor or as a thin client), I'd be happy with that. I'd even go so far as to trade in my cracked PlayBook, which I still use everyday, for an upgrade.
Yes a new iteration of the PlayBook is much needed :)
Won't happen until the handheld division begins to show stability and growth.
BlackBerry has an established track record of not being able to differentiate their flagship products from everything else out there.
How are they going to differentiate a tablet from the iPad (which still continues to sell even with minor tweaks)? Hub, Peek and Flow? Seriously, don't they have bigger problems right now?
