It depends on the headset, the BB model, and OS version. Some bluetooth headsets support audio, most don't. You'll have to check to see if your headset supports audio, or A2DP protocols.

What i use, is my car has a tape cassette player too. Go to any local car place, in england we have a Halfords. 10gbp and its just a blank tape with a headphone wire on the end. Perfect. I have a parrot too so i dont have to worry about calls through speakers coz thats what i want.
Perfect solution for me.
I dunno if this is right, but isnt bluetooth mono only ?
i think i know the answer but i just wanna double check
if i plug the audio gateway into my aux jack and run slacker via bluetooth can i have my jawbone also connected??? and i i get a call will the music pause and them resume after the call??? can this be charged or it needs to be connected at all time?
i use vlingo to text while i drive so i need my phone not attached to cable tohold the speak button down
I use the stereo gateway to listen to music in my office while using my jawbone prime for phone calls. They both use different bluetooth technologies, so they seem to play well together.
I haven't tried vlingo with this setup, but it would definitely be worth trying... :)

Yes, the music will pause and you can answer the call.
The charge pod always has to be plugged in. It doesn't have a battery.
just got the jabra SP715 from costco for 69.99 i used it for a quick drive to work and its awesome the FM transmitter is sooooo good unlike that ipod ones a couple of years ago. i havent tried talking on it but if it is great for phone calls also; im gonna return my jawbone icon and use my moto H700 when i NEED a BT on my ear which besides driving isnt much i dont mind holding my phone like the good 'ol days
